well...some of you might know spidey 700 is approaching and the story leaked and popped up a week early on the web! of course i couldn't silence my curiosity till next week and read the leaked stuff...well...i'll stop reading spidey comics now. at least until they are starting to make good stories again instead of aiming for that big controversial super cliffhangerific climax every other week. wanna know why asm700 is so bad? ...okay i'll tell ya, just scroll down a bit. i don't want to spoil anyone so DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!!
again... SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!!!
if you followed the story so far, you know that doc ock and spidey switched bodies and stuff...now this whole "thing" ends with spideys mind dying in doc ocks body while ock, influenced by spideys old memories vows to become a better spidey than peter was. yeah. that's it. ...so now we got a new spidey with some kind of an asshole egoistic character that is going to kick butt...but wait a moment! wasn't there scarlet spider already to do just that? well now we got two of them... i thought it couldn't get worse after one more day but i was wrong! ...now follow the awesome adventures of the amazing spidoctopus!
I haven't read the last few issues of The Amazing Spider-Man yet, but I heard the news and I'm scared to look in them. Peter Parker is my favorite not just comic book character, but also my favorite fictional character at all. I'm a major fan of Peter Parker. So should I read them or forget about the last few issues?
I feel your pain. I was quite upset initially, but after a bit I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of it. Here's hoping that this ill-contrived storyline ends sooner than later.
i really wonder who and why greenlighted this kind of crap! i mean from all possible options they had to bring a new direction to the series, they chose the most stupid i've ever seen to date...this is a whole new level of fail in my opinion and i really hope they will feel their idiotic idea through dropping sales.
